MW shud like this .

#5 = The OMA Cobbler prototype speaker

This is a prototype of a speaker Weiss might call the Cobbler. It's a large, 80-pound "bookshelf" speaker that uses a vintage air motion transformer tweeter and a JBL woofer, both mounted on a 1-inch thick piece of water-jet-cut Pennsylvania slate, on a Pennsylvania black walnut cabinet.

That one might have some real potential.
Not crazy for the joinery but it certainly looks of quality materials.

A friend of mine gave me a half section of 1" slate from a pool table. I had plans to cut it up into sections for a turntable platform and adding mass to various projects. Never got off the ground (not yet) and the slate is still out in the garage.

Other than being highly reflective I think it might be a good building material for some things audio but damn it's heavy. these guys sure seem to like it.

I got this 1 inch thick piece of faux marble from a thrift for $3. I guessed, but was correct that it is just about perfect size to fit under the Denon.

IF there had been any reaction to vibration with the TT before, it is surely gone now. :D

and it was nice that the color was acceptable.
