Really sad to have lost him so early!

Of the top twenty most prolific contributors to this forum, 4 have permanently left the building. :banghead:

Scotty's enthusiasm and fascination for Crown amps was infectious and he shared his acquired knowledge and expertise freely and in a friendly way. I'm glad my kids made it to the Skooter Car ride, Eldorado, on Coney Island even though they had to do it without me. We'd planned a trip so my kids could experience the ride, the music, and the Art Deco sign while I would get the chance to meet Scott face-to-face. It just wasn't to be.

I can think of three forum members I'd actually had real conversations with who have passed to the big dirt nap. We always remember what they taught us and shared with us, but we should also take from this that we shouldn't put off meeting when we can. It's been rewarding for me. I don't care how old you are, time is always too short. Live for today.

Have you been watching Mr Robot on USA Network? A lot of the activity happens at the Eldorado Arcade,
tho more the games area than the bumper Car section ... I can hear Scotty chuckling about his beloved "home"
being a major element of a TV show!

Obviously he lived and worked for his bumber cars. And he shared his knowledge, a great guy.

Heather, does that suggest that the El Dorado Lives? I thought the family was looking to sell the property as there was no one left in the family who wanted to continue to run it. I remember there was a lot of effort by the Coney Island community to resist tearing it down and developing the area further.

Perhaps Trump wasn't able to put together or complete the land-grab? My daughter has visited recently.

I kinda figured based on the picture I posted with Christian Slater (one of the stars of Mr Robot)
driving the bumper car that the place might still exist in some fashion ...

That's so cool Phil - glad to hear it still lives on!
