I'll be in San Francisco and Carmel for the next week or so and was wondering if there is a pair that can be auditioned nearby.

Actually, you can listen to them in Colorado. I recently picked up a pair of Studio 590's from a JBL Synthesis dealer, Home Audio Sound, in Brighton and Greg Burns has a pair of M2's set up for auditioning. They sounded fantastic. You can also compare them to S3900's, S4700's, Everest 66000's and 67000's since he has these set up, as well.

I'm about 250 miles from there unfortunately. Next time I'm in Denver I will schedule a visit.
