Altec 515 compatibility

Hi all

i would like to try an Altec 515 ( or Gpa equivalent) in my Jbl hartsfield... Regarding the blue prints of both driver ( altec 515/Jbl 2226 or E 145) I can't be sure that the holes for bolts are in the same place , and 100% compatible ..

does anybody tried the substitution between Jbl and altec 15" drivers

Physical mounting I don't know but AE speakers are known for drop-in replacement in certain models and are well built and have lower inductance.

These are beautiful speakers , and really not overpriced :bouncy:

Unfortunately .... It's impossible for me to try them in my hartsfield because their unusual deep ... A huge modification is needed with the rear loading box ....

any informations, tests , about those speakers in this forum ?
