My power switch was sticking and would not shut off so I in plugged all power and carefully disassembled- with some contact cleaner, gentle compressed air and petroleum I have it working now. Also found that the orange tape in the rear of the switch recess was bunched up so I just removed.

Now I'm ready to reassemble but it appears as if the black plastic thumb switch is not making contact with the small nubbin on the switch- and it appears as if there may have been something glued there at some time?

Is there a part that is missing between the black plastic switch slider and the switch itself?

The switch is activated from the top by the cap on the black plastic slider- and mine is broken.

Try finding a non-working P2200 for parts. BTW Your sticking switch was a problem that most of my P2200s had. Use a silicone lub, not solvent-based.
