Fastening speaker grilles

I'm about to get dogs and children in the house. I'd like to keep my woofers undented and figure I need to build some speaker grilles for my DIY speakers. I guess there is at least two ways to do this: one is to get some kind of grille that is attached to the driverframe, the other is to build something own that in some way is fastened to the box or driver. Any ideas how this best is done is much appreciated! The speakers to protect are 2x18" boxes with flat baffles where the drivers are about 3" apart.

By my Altec 3156 I used neodym-magnets on the screws of the driver.
For the grille i've made a wooden ring. Here you can use a screws or paper clips.

Thank you Dieter for your response. Do those magnets attract metal in both ways or how do you mount them to the driver screws? Where did you source them and how many are appropiate to use per driver?

I like the idea - I'm guessing the neodium magnets just hold themselves onto the speaker mounting screws
by sheer virtual of their magnetism ...
but how can anyone see anything in those teeny tiny thumbnail pix you posted!?
