I am refinishing 4 sets of drivers. 2405s, 2402s, 2305 horns, 2 pair of 2420s. I have read on many threads that the discontinued Krylon 1613 semi- flat lacquer was the thing to use for horn flairs and brackets on the tweeters. Does anyone know which is best now since that is no longer available. I am also looking for the gray wrinkle finish paint found on 2402, 2405 and 2420 driver bodies as well as the 2305 horns. Any help appreciated and of course I will document with pics in case someone else has the same reservations about color. I am going to try to heat the surface of drivers before and after gray paint application with a hair dryer to achieve the wrinkle finish. I would like to hear some pointers there too please. Thanks all

Right on Lee! Did you topcoat with any particular gray or would it be best to bring a horn down and have it matched in enamel? By the way, you still have any of those fancy dancy aluminum tweeter mounts left like in you av?

Anyone know the suitable replacement to the Krylon 1613 semi- flat black lacquer for the tweeter horns, and brackets? Also the gray color for the professional driver bodies?

OK, did a little more research. Is Pantone 403 the right gray for driver bodies?
