Just got 2 speakers that don't seem to appear in any catalogues. Does anyone have the specs?

Congrats--you've got some very nice Altecs! What will you be using them for? Here's what I could find....

Hi

Thanks very much for the info. I couldn't find it on the web.

We were given a couple of wedge monitors and they will probably remain as such in slightly smaller boxes. I'm just repairing the crossovers at the moment. They came with University Sound T-50 horns which can cross at 600Hz. Haven't really tested them yet but they all seem to be working.

I hear they make great guitar speakers.

Cheers

I have 4 414-8Bs, and I use them 2 per side, and they are really sweet sounding even compared to today's modern woofers. I am also using an Altec 806 driver/811 horn and EV T350 super tweeter..

Hi

So that's PA or home theatre?

Hi

So that's PA or home theatre?

It looks like the 417 could do lower mids in a PA, and the 414 is a home hifi.

Just bought a pair of 417As to go in a 2X12 converted Super Reverb. Have 417-8C and 418, but can't turn up any specs on the 417A -- hoping it doesn't turn out to be wildly inapplicable .... any info would be appreciated.

thanks,

Joe
