is it built in veneer(plywood) or high density particle board,
I'm curious to recognize those original or homemade

the factory 4530's I purchased in 1979 were particle board with plywood baffles. An later pair purchased for a theater were mostly plywood. JBL at the time was using outside vendors to make the (new) cabaret series and they began to phase out the large wood horn manufacturing.
My shop made hundreds of these with AC fir plywood then birch veneer plywood back in the 80's.
