My first reconing

I had 4 2225 baskets sitting around so embolden by some refoam projects that went very well I decided to recone 2 as 2235's. I picked up 2 aftermarket C8R2235 US made kits cleaned up the mating surfaces and the gap. The kits did not have mass control rings so I bought some from Simply Speakers.

Everything cleaned up fine and the VC aligned perfectly in the gap with shims and no rub after the shims were removed, the mass control rings dropped in and they sound great in a pair of L200 cabs.

I have no real purpose for them but I wanted to try my hand at a reconing.

I will leave them in the L200's for a while and see how they stand up.

Way to go! Who's kits did you use and how do they sound? Do you have measurement equipment? Pictures?
