Krell. Very cosmetically imposing design.
Electrically capable of delivering massive quantites of current into very low impedance loads!
I heard Krell a couple of times now, and they make great bass, very tight, excellent definition, grand extension, without becoming tubby, or soft!
BUT, yeah, theres a but! DID NOT LIKE the way the Krell sounds up into the midrange and highs! Kind of no where near as smooth or liquid sounding as a McIntosh amp. The highs were edgy sounding!
Krell is great as a subwoofer amp, but youll have to refinance your home to own one!
Jus my opinion!
BTW, the Krell amps I heard were the FPB 300, and the FPB 600, and the 600 was the flagship amp in the line at that time!

I also found some reviews of this Master Reference amp online that were less than flattering... For the price you could pick up a pair of JBL K2-S9800's and just about any other amps you wanted.
