I'm going to try bi-amping per the attached diagram below. This is an edit of the schematic in 4313B's post on 12/31/06 (http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?166-4333-S300-L300-equivalent-bandbass-circuit&p=140919&viewfull=1#post140919). I've just added the charge coupling, as I understand it, to his drawing. Did I get it right? Will this network be good with 2441's as I've shown?
What is the purpose of the 20uf cap and 10ohm resistor across the LF signal?

This is Zobel network that flattens the rising woofer impedance.

This shouldn't be needed when biamping.

Agreed. You got the cap values right, too. So you're golden!

Aha! Thank you very much for the link. Great explanation.

Badman, I appreciate the confirmation.
Time to order some parts!

... for the bass, and if the midrange amp ain't tubes, then for the midrange as well.

The midrange will be amplified with tubes. If I were to protect the woofers from the possibility of my amp going DC, I think I'd do it with a relay circuit. Do I really need to worry about turn-on transients with the woofers? I'd rather put a mechanical switch in the speaker wire, than try to find a capacitor big enough to do that.

No need to worry about turn on transients on the woofers. Myself I have quad-amped with no protection for woofer and 8" midrange.
But you should always turn on preamp and crossover before power amps, and the reverse when turning off, with a delay to let the juice out of the power amps. It will save your ears.

Right! What I wrote was silly :) You need DC protection only for the midrange, if it's not tube, cause that has a transformer which does not pass DC.
