hi all,

which horn would you choose for a jbl 276nd which is a variant of jbl 2426/7. This compression driver has a 1" dia. throat and horn mounting is via 1-3/8"-18 male thread.

it is part of a 3 way active speaker consisting of one jbl le120h-s1 12" bass, jbl 726gs 6,5" midrangedriver an the jbl 276nd. the 276nd will take over from the midrange at about 2000hz the speakers is used in my micro sized dedicated home theater with a listening distance of 7 feet, so coverage is important.

so i need a horn that can handle hf from 2khz, be small w x h max 25 x 25 cm/10" x 10" and off course sound good, what would you use?

best regards

panduro

I think 2342's sound good up close and will go right on those drivers. They are just less than 23cm X 23cm square.

I have used 276ND on JBL H2600 horns for a few years now with great pleasure. Horns are a matter of taste, and I never much liked the buttock horns from 4430/4435. I think they disperse the sound in a weird way, but many people like those. So give it a try. You might be able to borrow different ones to try out.

hi both , and thanks for your answers,

the h2600 looks like its a "bit" larger than i can fit.

the 2342 seems like a good option.

thanks
