View Full Version : Speaker Magnet Recharging Done Easy
I found this amazing product at local craft mart.50707
I've been wanting to recharge my LE15A
Made a hole in the dust cap so I can pour in the magnetic flux.
Wow! Didn't expect the flux to have a vapor! Funny smell too. Like bubble gum and metal filings.
Boy we can really hear the difference!!! I should do a project like this every April 1st.

The bandaid is really to hold in the smoke, makes the dust cap self healing, usually overnight. :p
I heard they are working on "Voice Coil Repair" in a can as well.

Yes, sadly it's only available in Mexico.

That picture must've been a week later after the healing was complete and a bandage was no longer necessary!

Reminds me of a couple of valuable phrases learned in the field:
"Smoke test": Initial Power-up
"It's no good any more once you let all the smoke out of it": Failure at Power-up, or during operation, usually during a gig.
To repair voice coils, just use this:
$12.99 at Fry's.

Sorry, that is just a hole in a photograph of the dust cap. Why didn't the dude take a photograph of the speaker he is listening to, and poke a hole in that photo's dust cap ? herki[Quote/]
