Hi all,

Here is a link to the xo schematic for the N1200.

http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Network%20Schematics/N1200.pdf

I want to make a new pair of these with modern parts - mostly just to get new caps into the mix, but also want to leave the originals undisturbed.

I have the caps and the coils necessary - nice stuff too.

I would like to leave out the rheostat and am wondering then if it is necessary to put the resistors into the diagram or if they were just set up to counter/balance the dials.

Thanks in advance for the brave soul willing to help this xo novice,
~B

Just snip off the old caps and replace with the new. Yes, the resistors are a necessary part of the attenuation circuit - work in tandem with the tapped coil.
