I just traded a guitar combo amp for a 604e with the crossover and was looking for some advice on how to implement it.

Is there any advice on how I can use just one 604e and what kind of enclosure I should get or build for it? I'm hoping to like it enough that I have to get another one but for now I just have one.

I have a Boston Acoustic VS325c for a center channel on my Home theater so I don't need a center channel but it might be fun to compare the two. I play guitar and bass and use KRK for mixdown monitors when running Logic Studio. This is where I would love to use this but I only have 1.:crying:

Also, I have a Crown PS-200 that is just begging to come out of retirement and just feels like a good match. Am I thinking correctly? I need to be enlightened and this seems like the right place.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have several 604s. I really appreciate the Altec 604e in an Altec 620a cabinet.

Altec 620 or the Stonehenge are the best sounding cabs for the 604 IMO ;)

How did you mount them? I thought of cutting an access panel but I opted for the 604-8Gs simply because of the vanes on the back of the 604E frame. I'm currently using the 620As for 416-8Bs in a three way system and it's an incredible match.

I have a pair of 604-E2s in Big Red cabinets with Mastering Lab crossovers and custom stands in the back of my truck that I picked up in Denver a few days ago but we're just heading home tomorrow (950 miles) and I haven't heard them yet.

I have a pair in 5 cu ft+ Barzilay cabinets with two 3" x 11" tube ports and Jeff Markwart 604 crossovers and they sound the best I've heard.
