First one was almost free but needed a surround... and a mate.
(that was just about 2 years ago)
Second one arrived today in ready-to-play condition.

Been listening to KUSC radio (about the only local classical radio station left around here)
through MR78 (analog tuner) and VT100 (6550 based tube amp) ...

Set up in a ~6ft listening triangle, 4301bs with tweets at ear level... and I've forgotten
the speakers are even there. Reminds me of when I was a kid, laying on the floor
next to the old walnut Stromberg-Carlson "Hi-Fi" cabinet (also analog FM and tube
amp)... not awesomely detailed, but involving without thinking. Nice.

Hey Congrats Grumpy! Its incredible how nice some of these smaller speakers sound sometimes. I've got a pair of L15s and am always amazed how good they sound for their size, I would have loved a pair of them when I was younger.

Enjoy!

I have L19's, parked at a distant family member as a permanent loan. She couldn't be more happy with them.

For comparison, what's the depth of 4301 enclosures? I'm under the impression there is a difference.

Thanks all. I have a pair of -BE energizers stashed somewhere...

Figured -that- was coming :p... I'll get to it tonight.

4301 cabinets are deeper than the L19's, and whether it's the blue front or
shape, they are more aesthetically pleasing to me. I haven't set them up side
by side for a (probably meaningless) listening comparison.

4310b - 19" x 11.5" x 12.125" deep

L19 - 21" x 13" x10" deep

New friend (left), old bud (right):

[Note insufficient lighting/camera as well as SOTA speaker stands] ;)
{could almost be one speaker and one grille ... I promise, it's not}:p

:D It does kinda look like that. They look like they just came out of the box, super clean :applaud:
Good thing they are small Grumpy, looks like that room is chock-full of speakers.

Good times!
