Hey folks,

I´m wondering which of the above speakers will perform best in the freq.-range 150-500hz.....!?

They shell run as direct radiators in closed or vented enclosure`s up to 40litres netto volumina.

Midranges from 500hz on will be played by JBL 2441 and JBL 2405...
Below ~150hz JBL 2235h will perform as subwoofers....

How do K-120 and K-110 compare?

Which enclosure (closed or vented) is best and which enclosure-size ?
Where would be the -3db drop off point ?

Thanks a lot guys,
Olaf

Ps. Please avoid discussion if the K-Serie`s is suited for hifi..... Technically they aren`t, but I like em!

I have seen a K110 used as a mid-range, 1.5cubic foot sealed box. A 2123 would work also. The K120 in 2 cu-ft sealed box would also work.
I think the 3db ponints would be around 80~90Hz.

I would go higher with the 2441 depending on the horn, less honk then use the k-110 up to there.

Hi,

the 2441 will be mounted onto 2390 lenses....
So you are right, they should be crossovered at 800hz !

But does a K-110 sounds up to that a lot better than a K-120 ?

Do both really go that low!? -3db @ 100hz in 1,5 cubicfeet e.g. 2 cubicfeet.....!?

But the are all in guitar amps. Keep in mind that the guitar goes down to 80hz so do JBL guitar speakers and usually in open back cabinets. The K120 has higher sensitivity than the K110,will handle more power than the K110 and will go lower than the K110.

Here is the JBL info on the K series. Note the is not a lot of info there about box size.
The closest I could find was 2123 a 10" pro driver and that is where I got the 1.5 cu ft.
I'll keep looking for more info.
My personal feeling that the K-120 is a better speaker overall.
