Thanks to a recent surgery, I've been forced to do a lot of nothing lately. This means laying around on the couch a lot, recovering. On the other hand, this has allowed me to become reacquainted with my beloved L-100t's. They are powered by a Kenwood Basic M2A, through a Carver CT-17. Very old-school. All purchased new, back in the day. (The Carver is definitely the weak link, but it's not too bad.)

My life of the past several years has pushed any real listening aside, unfortunately. Just no time. This recovery period is helping me get back into it. I had forgotten just how much I love these speakers.

My tastes are varied, but I usually end-up listening to a combination of classic jazz and electronica. An odd mix, to be sure, but, the L100t's take on both genres exceedingly well, at least to my ears. The electronica, especially impresses in how high I can push them without the music ever getting "too loud"...that is, harsh and uncomfortable. And that lovely bottom end never fails me. Veneer chips and all, these continue to be great, great speakers.

Anyway, I thought I'd check-in and share the little bit of fun I'm having these days. Too bad it took a herniated disc to do it.

I suppose being forced to enjoy your system isn't all that bad. :)
