511 horn in Valencia cab

Has anyone ever tried to put 511's in a stock Valencia cabinet? My buddy has a set of these cabs and I have 2 sets of 802/511's. I was thinking of swapping him some gear for the cabs if this is a viable set up. Any opinions on this type of setup or are the Valencia cabs something I should leave alone with what I have. I also have a pair of 416's and N501-8a's as well as N801-8a's. Thanks

I'd be concerned with the physical size (especially depth regarding fit)...
the 511 being some 5" deeper and 5" wider than the 811,
and how the additional depth could cause unintentional time alignment
issues (may be reduced in perceived effect using steeper crossover rates,
e.g., biamp and use 24dB/oct slopes).

Might look at some of Altec's old pro monitors for 511-based 2-way systems
that are more compact than the large VOTT cabinets... or Barcelona's with
the sealed bass system and special driver, to get design ideas.
