Can anyone recommend some good outdoor speakers? They will be mounted in a covered patio about 16' apart, not directly exposed to the elements. I want to mount them in the corners near the ceiling. My budget is about $400, maybe a tick more. They will be powered by an HK 3490 receiver, 120 watt, off the B side. Any help would be appreciated.

Been using these with the HK 3490 with pretty good results.

Those 28s look nice, maybe a bit pricey....but you get what 'cha pay for.
There's always the Control 25AV if you're looking for a smaller, cheaper pair. By default, they come with more weather resistant features - if you're looking for something a bit more durable.

Thanks for the info guys! Hard to go to an audio store around here and audition outdoor speakers, especially JBL's. Is the price on those speakers for a pair or each? It says sold in pairs but the counter says "1." I guess I can assume that is one pair?

Thanks for the link Widget. I knew that thread was somewhere, just couldn't find it.

I'm pretty sure they're sold in pairs now. I remember buying the 28s in separates from that exact same distributor, and they were priced around the $200-300 mark.
When in doubt, just send them an email. They had pretty good customer service, last time I checked.
