I have been doing the A/B dance all night. Running them with my MC 75s over the JBL Olympus. While the C-22 sounds like it has a little more bass response with everything set flat they sound the same over all. There is no real diff

Just sayin!

I've got the MX-110/MC-75 setup, too, and it does, indeed, sound quite nice. The JBLs would certainly be the icing on the vintage cake, so to speak.

Have you had the MX-110 updated with new components, by chance? If not, you're listening through a veil of haze. Ditto for the MC-75s.

I speak from experience.....

Cheers,

David

I have been doing the A/B dance all night.... There is no real diffThere are so many caps that are way past their life expectancy and other ancient components in those devices... short of completely rebuilding them, I don't think any consistent valid conclusions could be made. I have had a few MX110s... they used to be quite the bargain. Even when I had them 15-30 years ago they were old and they all sounded different. I can't imagine they are getting any better... which is not to say they sound bad, but it seemed that they sounded a little different every day... good days and bad days, then another component would fail and you'd have to track it down. Still, I do miss the glow of the dial. :)

updated circuitry... and a -REMOTE- :D ... would look nice with my only McIntosh

Why rebuild when you can buy new? And who better to do upgrades than the company that built the original design?? Why aren't people buying them all up?

I have been running the MX-110 all week spinning LPs, Love it!

Now its time to do the same with the C-22
