OK, I'm running a 3-way system and the tweeter is currently crossed at 5,000.

I'm plannning on building a N7000 xover and wonder if it would change much.

thx...

8000Hz and more sounds better for me

I haven't heard a 075/2402 in years, but JBL's min xover is 2,500Hz.

What kind of mid-range are you using. If you are using a direct radiator I would xover at the lowest recommend to get horn loading.

With the correct crossover the 2445 on the right CD horn will go out to 20Khz. There is no need to use a 2403 as well. And the 075 will only go out to 16Khz. JBL crossed the 2402 over at 2.5Khz in many of their designs but I would stick to something above 7Khz.

Allan.Yeah, I would also suggest the samething. In old JBL brochures, they use xover freqs of 5KHz - 7KHz.

I was just debating whether it would be worthwhile to use an old 075/2402, but to my ears, the ancient 075/2402 pales against the newer drivers. I think the only thing the 075/2402 will buy you is wider dispersion of the highs. Maybe a 077/2405 would be a better match? This a rhetorical question since I haven't heard a 075/2402 or 077/2405 in awhile, just suggesting as a matter of discussion.

Only thing I can think of more beamy is a JBL exponential w/slant plate lens.... :)
