4345 Project Questions Again...

Can anyone tell me...were the bottom of 4345's just painted black & not veneered?
I suspect they attached the base & then painted black but thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance :)Can't help you with "original" but the bottom of at least one pair of Riessen reproductions aren't veneered. The bottoms are just painted black (with the exception of the front-face molding edge), and the base plinth pieces are black, too. Not that you need a photo, but now's the time to ask if you do! ;)

Well, my original JBL 4341s are veneered on all sides -
with a factory black painted particle board plinth screwed onto the bottom.
That said, does it matter?

Who watches the bottom of the cabinet when magnificent 18s are playing!
