hello again!

yesterday i had a talk with a friend and he asked me if i know the "sony labeled" jbl compression driver (~245o?).
i said i dont, true, and i didnt get any information on the web either.

the more educated people here can possibly tell me about this issue:
are there any parts known engineered/built by jbl offered to other companies (and vice versa)?

like seen here, the sansui-speakers in ancient (...) japan: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21428 (http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=21428&highlight=sansui)
very interesting!!

please share your information if you have any about badge-engineering concerning jbl.

cheers,
mikey

thanks a lot!
very interesting threads ( http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=1397601 ), but nothing about this sony-compression driver. i, for myself, dont think that off all brands in the world sony would buy anything from another company. but if anyone knows about it, please tell me.
also about BMS and JBL, if there is any connection.

why i want to know?
dont know!

thanks,
mikey

... dukane heath and tideland
Fender, Meyer Sound, DAS (Spain), ...

I happen to like, and have several Sony products. Never heard of a direct connection regarding speakers.

Perhaps your friend was referring to Pioneer?

Another Japanese manufactorer instead of Sony.

If he is referring to Pioneer their professional division would be T.A.D.

The T.A.D. products were designed by an engineer who was previously employeed at JBL -Bart Locanthi.
