Hi Friends,
during the last nights I finished my small speaker project.
It's a Visaton Aria.
Consisting of a 100mm Titanium woofer and a 25mm cloth dome Tweeter this speaker sounds simply stunning.
The components are high end as you can see in the pics. They are expensive but worth the money.
This speaker is in the JBL price range.
Ti100 woofer app. 190 USD

G20SC Tweeter app. 50 USD

The crossover features a nice tinfoil cap from IT.
Sound is excellent!!

did you build the cabs as well? the speakers look good. how would they compare to the smaller jbl ti series? enjoy...

The cabs are handbuild but not by myself.
I bought them finished.
Regarding smaller Ti series I have to confess that I never liked the Ti dome tweeter in a small speaker.
Don't know why. Maybe it is too present in comparison to a small woofer.
I like this combination more. A titanium midwoofer and a soft dome tweeter.

Hi Guido!, nice looking little speakers, the bass driver looks like it can deliver the goods.
What are the dimensions on the cabs.
ps: your stuff is going out today.
These look really neat!
I just ordered some Audyn Cap MKP-QS to rebuild the network of a pair of 4301b for a friend of mine. I am happy to see you also use them: that is quite an endorsement! :)
Why did you choose not to use any bypass cap (and no cc either) ?

I used a tin foil cap (KPSN) for the tweeter and these caps sound really good as they are. No bypass necessary.
Dimensions see attachment.

Looks like a fine little system. :)
I think I'd also try a ribbon tweeter. Where (what frequency) does the little Ti woofer start to get ugly (break up, resonance etc.)?

Yeah! As a lover of big size speakers this is complete new territory for me. But compared to the size these little system is stunning.
