Greetings,
I just sold my (a small tear drops) pair of 12's, and on cleaning, found a rip in one of the mid-ranges. Any suggestions as to where the buyer might find a replacement?
thanks

Search eBay for "JBL LE5" and wait for the LE5-12 to show. There's a reasonable pair of -8's there now - not the exact ones for the 4312 though. All the LE5- are same-sized and so fit into existing baffle cut-outs.

The first edition 4312 used the LE5-12, but later (including the "A" but you better check lest I contradict Bo without cause) used the 104H-3, which is available from JBL:

The LE5-12 has a rather dull finish on the paper cone, the 104-3 has a shining doped coating added to the cone and dust cover.

And for those who care about what the difference is between the 104H-2 and the 104H-3 - it's all cosmetic, they are functionally identical. The 104H-2 has a black faced frame and the 104H-3 has an aluminum faced frame. The same with the LE5-10 and LE5-12, the LE5-10 has the black faced frame and the LE5-12 has the aluminum faced frame. They too are functionally identical.
