Mains Isolators

Can anyone tell me how I can isolate my system from a myriad of pops clicks etc from the mains. Ive connected an Ups thinking that as this was via a transformer it would solve the problem but no its still there.
There are some units on the market that claim to give clean power but I'm loath to spend hundreds of pounds on these things if there is a DIY answer.

are you talking about when you power on and off your system?

if you are,

i personally have just resigned myself to always turning the power amps 'on' last and 'off' first....
you can get power strips that have built in delay also....
