It's a plain,old 4 channel commercial grade amplifier..sounds just like any other QSC amp.

I have racks full of CX-series. Very robust, and great sounding, woofs to tweets.

The specs look very good. Was considering it to run mains and sides or getting a 2 channel like the new GX3 or 5 for mains and using the CX404 for surrounds.

I'd stick with the CX series. It and the PowerLight3 are identical, save for the fancy connectors fitted onto the PL3's.

Mind that the CX series only have barrier strips.

I agree the CX's sound very good. We have installed hundreds of them, and have had next to none go bad. The Powerlights aren't anywhere near as reliable.....
