What is the JBL 2105 5" driver ment for?
Is it sutable in any midrangeapplications,
or is it ment for fullrange applications ?

Is it worth buying? maybe usable as surround speakers?

IIRC, it's basically the same as the LE5-2 or LE5-6, one or the other. It's the midrange driver that went into the L96...

Basically, it's only really useful as a midrange. The excursion and electrical power handling is too limited for usage under about 650 Hz, at the lowest.

Gordon.

The C8RLE59 has the edgewound copper ribbon voice coil
The C8RLE510 has the round copper voice coil

Here's a little cheat sheet:

Niklas, this driver can cover much of the voice range and for such applications can be used "full range". It was used as such in a 4-driver array by JBL. But it will not cover music and soundtracks sufficiently to use as a surround.
