Hi guys.

I'm considering buying either L 100 T or L 100 Century. Both at 400$ a pair.

Now and then a pair of 240 TI or 250 TI comes avalible, likely at 1000$ / 1500-2000 $ per pair.

Any of you knowing the difference between those two/four, regarding eg. quality of units, crossover and most important sound quality ?

best regards, Erik

The L100T is generally considered far superior sonically than the regular L100 Century. Much newer, more accurate technology throughout. The L100T3 is even better.

I've had L150's, and while nice, they're fairly large, and $800 seems a lot. L150A's are generally considered better, though only marginally. It could still be argued the L100T is more accurate, while the L150 does have nice, extended bass with the passive radiator.

Where is DK? Denmark?

Sounds like the l100t should be a good deal.... do you know if the titanium dome, or the other units in the box are prone go south from overload ?

yup, DK = Denmark

l.... do you know if the titanium dome, or the other units in the box are prone go south from overload ? The 035Ti's with the titanium domes are almost bulletproof! The other drivers are also capable of handling lots of power, as long as it's clean, (no driver handles clipping well!).

The biggest problem with L100T's, (and L150's), is that the foam surrounds on the LF speakers dry out over time. The surrounds can be replaced by those knowledgeable, if done carefully.

The L100 Centurys don't have this problem because of their "accordion" surrounds, but because of this, their LF response is limited.

Seems you asked also for comments on the 240Ti & 250Ti. At the prices you indicated, snatch them up if you get the chance. You will not be disappointed as they are head and shoulders above the others.

I'm not a big fan of the L100, haven't heard the L100T, but it has good pro monitor quality components and most say it's a great JBL.
