Accuphase is the top-end, for example, their first converters were all discrete !!

Accuphase crossovers like the F-25 use weird filter types and slopes. 7th order Gaussian filters, I believe. They are highly regarded, and highly expensive.

But, I find that just acquiring the highest technology available for the time doesnt always work out as expected, especially when it comes to active crossovers. IMO, more important is are they the RIGHT filters for your speakers? Some speakers designed to operate with a specific filter and slope type dont neccesarily sound better with ultra high end units IF they arent the correct filters and slopes for your speakers.

However, the Accuphase line drive modules are sturdy and can drive anything, and the build quality is absolute top notch.
