Not trying to create an argument one way or the other concerning the properties of cables and if you can hear the difference. I just wish I had the bucks to spend on this stuff. A flight case to take your 1 meter cable anywhere in the world to put down that A/B faceoff deadlock!

The actual metalic part of the cable makes no difference at all, IMHO. Sure, pure silver has lees resintance to copper, but if someone is that anal about it just move up to the next copper size. Radio frequencies can be a different story as they dont like to go around sharp corners but we dont need to deal with these, hopefully. The plastic on the outside of the cable is a different story. It can add capacitance where it is not wanted. So a good quality covering is good. I use a good quality "music store" type cable for interconnects and a 1.5mm or 2.5mm twin flex for speakers. Years ago I got to try 99.99% pure silver interconnects and I could not tell the difference. These cables were $6000NZ per stereo pair and mine were $5!:)

yes i can tell the difference blindfolded.
the more you spend the worse it gets. best results in my opinion are made when you use the same materials as possible from the socket to the driver. so all cupper. if you spend like 4 dollarsp/meter on a cable its enough.
especially the hybrid cables suck. (copper/silver)

We've been all over this numerous times.

Frankly I dont think its sporting to ridicule others over this sort of thing.

I for one can hear the difference in RCA plugs with identical cable and that was on a flaming Phase Linear 400.

If I am not mistaken the same outfit makes very good loudspeakers.

Read about the world class driver design in the 6moons review.

My guess is with the level of loudspeaker everything matters.

Of course if your boxes have those old press in cable terminals that use a steel bolt to fasten to the crimp connectors on the inside its probably a pointless exercise.

Who has heard the Golds and your impressions? Compared to L100's?
