Your well wishes mean a lot to me.

I'm in a motel in Maumee, OH with my two grown sons, after spending the day with my mom, her husband, my brother, and my girlfriend. I am TOTALLY JBL-less, but aside from that, the day has been a good one.

I met my dad and his wife for lunch (salmon). Later I had Lake Superior whitefish with everyone else at Real Seafood on the river in downtown Toledo. A couple of Long Island Iced Teas smoothed everything out nicely.

My GF (who's sleeping in the room next door not in here) and I will be flying over to Chicago to see my daughter and grandson for a couple of hours before winging it back to LA tomorrow evening.

There's nothing like being with your kids and being reminded how good they are as people, how good they are to each other, and how much you love them. With all the troubled families I work with in LA, I sometimes forget what a whole family feels like or that it even exists.

Tomorrow night I can (and will) crank up the Performance Series and play the two DVD 5.1 set of Pink Floyd my son gave me. Probably drink some Sambuca, too. :D It will no doubt be awesome, but not nearly as awesome as the people I will leave behind.

I think 56 is going to be the greatest year yet! :bouncy:

Just wanted to say -- and I know it is a day late, dollar short -- but, Happy Birthday!

I am sure you will love the Pink Floyd Pulse Concert. I play it almost every week and there is always a part I did not see when I watch it again.

And, I warn you -- crank it up loud -- it sounds MUCH better loud. The sound is incredible. You will love it. But, like you said - nothing beats family.

Enjoy the rest of your time there. Have a safe trip home.

If you dont mind, after you listen to the DVDs, let us know what you thought.
