Had one of the rotary switches crack in half! Ouch
Any idea where I could locate another rotary switch?
Schematic for this crossover would be great too.
Thanks

Well, I have no idea what an Altec N-500-D Crossover Rotary Switch even looks like.
But, I have found that Mouser Electronics does carry a large selection of parts.
Try going to www.mouser.com (http://www.mouser.com) and then do a product search in their "Electromechanical", "Switches", and “Rotary Switch" section.
Also, please post some close-up pictures of the crossover and switch.
Maybe, that will help jar some memories around here and get you a good source for the replacement part that you so badly need.

Here's a couple pics of the switch I'm looking for. I apologize for getting back late, but just got power back on here in Iowa!
Thank you

Hi Jeler
The close up picture of the switch looks like it has an open frame construction, with a single number of decks and a single number of poles per deck.
Could you please get a measurement of the outside diameter of the switch frame?
From the photo, I am thinking that it could be 1 5/16 inch in diameter. This would mean that it could be replaced with an Electroswitch D-4 series switch.
I have downloaded a D-4 series spec sheet PDF from the www.mouser.com (http://www.mouser.com) site.
There is still major issue that will still need to be determined before you can order a replace part.
And that is the type of switch that you will need. There are two varieties shorting and non-shorting.
But, without a schematic, it is hard to tell which type you will need.
Also, how many positions does the switch have and the index angle?
Index angle is the number of degrees that the switch rotates between positions.

Hopefully, an Altec fan can help out here with a schematic or least some recommendations.
