Hi,
after having been given an advice to consider a 15 inch driver instead of an 18 inch for a 40Hz-300Hz bandwith, I have done some modelling with an Altec 515B, which I already have. The best I could do for a closed box is the following:
Vb=56.8 l
Fb=78.95 Hz
F3=120.23 Hz
Qtc= 0.5
I do exceed X max at 20 Hz, but I do not intend to run the driver so low. I interprete the attached picture, as having SPL of 104db at 40 Hz.
Is it a correct conclusion that as a consequence it is possible to equalize to this SPL accross the intented frequency bandwidth?
Is this realistic, or am I deluding myself??
As this is my first effort, could someone smart look over my simultation and suggest a better allignment?
