I finally got around to re-assembling a pair of thrift store 18Ti's whose tweeters are being installed into a 250Ti clone project ( Thread posted later this week maybe ).

In the garage I found a small piece of 1950's mahogany 1/4" plywood that was left over from the house renovation and made a pair of adapter plates to facilitate the swap. One beer, one scrolling blade in the jigsaw and a little old english and they are now ready for the office. Didn't have time to get some color-matched recessed hardware but that's next week.

The NOS tweeters were found on ebay for cheap and the effective diaphram area and apperance seems nearly identical except it has the "phase plug" added.

I looked in my notes but could not find which JBL system used these tweets so if anyone knows, please enlighten.

Those are the 4206/08 tweeters. I listen to them all the time at work.

Thanks!

Now if I could only make that plastic black with out killing the alignment....the bezel is integral to the diaphram..;o(
