We might as well go through this one more time since someone is always interested.

Let's start with one we haven't covered before. Zilch, can you please post photos of the front and back of your CCBREQ cards along with their component values for the frequencies you have please?

Pics and values. I'd have to disassemble to get all of the parts designations screen printed under the components:

Here's measured voltage drives for 800 Hz CCbreq (top pair) and FFbreq for comparison.

Nice, Z-man. I suggest, though, that it is a little confusing that in posting the parts values you have interchanged them side-to-side relative to the photo series.

Otherwise, helpful (and you have saved me the trouble of photographing the one pair of the series 2360 cards I have, which is the 500 Hz).

I have FFBR 500, 1200 and 1600 for 2380 series if that is of interest to anyone.

I have FFBR 500, 1200 and 1600 for 2380 series if that is of interest to anyone. And I have the 800s; that covers all of the FFs I think. With parts designations, we might compile a table from built product if the original specs aren't available.

Giskard maybe will show us how these work, and we'll be able to tweak 'em all over the place!! :bouncy:

I'm wanting to build CCbreq1200. Looks like JBL never made it for those big horns, so it's gonna have to be created....

I can't read your R5 values Zilch.

243K on the 500, 240K on the 800. Some of the color bands aren't real clear as to the color.

I noticed on some others they didn't always use 1% resistors, i.e., 4.7K and 4.75K in other locations on different runs.

The green one's almost transparent, so I can trace the circuits onto the front after dinner. That'll get us closer to a schematic.

Which is pin #1 on the connector?

Which BREQ card(s) do you have?

I already have the schematic Zilch.

I found a 5234A on the shelf with 51-5333 cards in it. I still haven't found my box of cards yet.

Yeah, the resistors are hard to read, even with a magnifying glass.

I fixed the photo in my last post to show pin 1.

I was going to plug your other cards into spice but I'd rather watch a movie now and you can do it just as easily.
This is the XXBREQ 18 dB/O schematic with the FFBREQ 1200 Hz loadout. You'll have to figure out your CCBREQ curve.

Thank you, Giskard.

I'll try to make it happen in Spice, then.

Hi speakerdave, could you possibly post the components value for the 51-5332 500 Hz card? I'd like to try and modify the 1500Hz custom version I have,

Thanks -

OK. Here are the loads for the JBL 51-5332 18 dB/octave card w/H.F. E.Q. for 2380 Series Horns--500 Hz FFBREQ.

The color rendition of my digital camera sucks, so some of the bands will not appear as they are. I've read them with an LED flashlight, a 50mm SLR lens reversed, and, in some cases, a white mask to keep the blue board from skewing my color perception.

Great, thank you so much for the trouble!
