I finally updated the rack with all the modifications I wanted todo.
I got my lazy butt in the shop and built a TV stand for the TT to sit in.
I hung the Advents on the back wall(see pic)
I put the L100s on stands and put the stacked L100s tweeter to tweeter.
The Bottom receiver(2265B) runs the top L100s. The Middle receiver(2270) runs the bottom L100s. The top receiver(2220B) runs the advents in the back of the room.

Here are the pictures.

Thanks for looking. Please leave comments.. http://audiokarma.org/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif

Nice Marantz equipment. Nice 8-track too.

BTW, your TV stand would never work on the West Coast unless there were 10 earthquake straps holding it to the wall.

LOL, I guess you're right, but it works fine here in Alabama:blink:

LOL, I guess you're right, but it works fine here in Alabama:blink:Since you're handy with wood, I'd swap the positions of the turntable and the TV. Build a similar enclosure that surrounds the TV and put the turntable on top - it won't be nearly so tall (since the turntable cover stays closed). :dont-know:

Gotta keep those LE25's and LE5-10/12 away from the CRT.

Gotta keep those LE25's and LE5-10/12 away from the CRT.OK, then what about the open-reel tape(s)...? That damage would be permanent!

True that!

Never store magnetic tape on top of, nor around unsheiled magnets. The damage can become cumulative...loss of fidelity over time.:(

OMG!!! Infidels!!! Chop their heads off!!!:p

I see you guys found out why I put them so high..hehe
I wanted them to avoid the magnets as much as possible.
I don't watch TV much, so CRT distance is fine I think.
I keep all my magnetic tapes at least a foot away from the actual motor magnets.

I had to take them off to rebuild the xovers.
I didn't know what I was doing.
I do now, I rebuilt the xovers in the stock set as well.
Bad lesson learned.

Take the L100s off stands and move outwards
put casette deck where records were.
move the PIoneer TT where the cassette was
then move TV down to where TT was.

this gets speakers far enough from TV so no interference. TV no longer dangerous height.
little used casette doesnt use prime space anymore.

please IGNORE my advise if it makes no sense.

thanks for the ideas seawolf.

I can probably put the tt, tv, and tape decks where you recommended, and probably will. The thing is though, the speakers are as far out as they can go before they get cut off. If I move them over, the right side will have a table in their way, and the left side will have a desk in the way.
This is a small room(16ft wide x 20ft long - the audio system is on the 16ft wall)
Thanks for the time with the image and advice seawolf, it didn't cross my mind to put the tt where the tape unit was.

I wud do a needs assessment. Look at each componet and ask your self "Have I used this item in the last 30 (or 60 or 90) days ??" and "will I use it in the next 30 days ??" If NO to both , it is a candidate for removal.
My guess is that the 8track , second TT , and maybe cassette can be removed, freeing up space. You may pull out enough to put together another system for the bedroom/garage/shop.

If L100s cant be moved out, I wud consider swapping the top pair with your rear Advents and placing them outboard on the bottom L100s, trying for max mag distance from the TV, and seperation. :banghead:

Ummm, thanks for the advice, but one thing, I aint gonna move muh JBLs.;)

I could remove the second record player and 8-track, but everything else I use.
Hummm, I think picking up a top half for the wire rack would be the best course of action.

Thanks for the help!
