Hello, I want to start a new jbl project. and I need some help. I want to use two 2242h drivers and jbl 2246h driver. in a 10 cubic ft cabinet. I also want to know does jbl make a horn like the jbl k2 9500, I would like to have a three way system just like the 9500 but using two 2242h low frequency woofers and a 2245h in the middle. is this possible. and if so were can I buy that horn. and if not possible what horn does jbl sale that I can use in this set up. thanks

Gene,

I doubt if it would work very well.

I was wrong I said 2246 but I wanted to say jbl 2446h and two 2242h per speaker. am I missing something, the 2242h freq responce is 25hz to 1.6khz and the 2446h is 500hz to 20khz and if I use a xover at 1000 khz or 1200khz this would not work . I would use a 10 cubic ft cabinet with each 2242h in its own 4.5 cubic ft with in the 10 cubic ft cabinet

I think you should have a 2226h to play 60-600hz for better result.
If you cross the 2242/2226 around 60-80hz and the 2226/2446 around 600hz.
I have the same speaker in this config. Instead of 2242 i have 2243 and 2245.

Hello robh. the best way I can say this is each person has a certain level of taste that is pleasing to there ear and soul. I want my speakers to hit hard as hell at low volume and high volume . I do not want bomming saging bass.I want my bass to hit hard and deeeeeep. I want my meds to be smooth and my treble crisp. when I play zepplen/jimmy hendrix or funk , I want to be able to colse my eyes and listen to the music as If they are playing live in front of me!. after looking at dons pictures of tokyo and the everst d66000. I want to build something awesome

I think you need to start with the very best drivers you can lay your hands on.
