Hi, I'm a L100 user and recently I wanna upgrade my amplifier, and I wanna try McIntosh, is there any suggestion with least budget to enjoy the fantastic McIntosh + JBL???
I don't mind integrated amp or pre-amp + power amp.
Thanks a lot! :)

personally, I'll go with a amp..for the L100..I'll use either a 2100 ( cheaper) or 2105

I got the same bug a while ago and wound up getting a Mac 1900 receiver for about $270 + shipping off Epay. I had to put a little work into it, but my modified L100s sound amazing with it.

Those delightful L100s really are nice "receiver" speakers. I'd tend to go the receiver or integrated amp route myself, like a Mac 4100, 5100, or 6100.

Just in case you guys haven't found it yet, detailed info on most things McIntosh (thru early 90s)

Down and dirty on some of the best, from the guy that designed many of them.

Now, Wait till you run those L-100s with a tube amp.

The first generation McIntosh solid state amps are said to be voiced to their tube amps--not exactly the same, of course, but reasonably close.
I do like these historically possible matchups, for some reason. I bet this is a good one.
