Hi,
I am ready to add a 2405H to my current 2-ways, using a LE85A for the mid-high duty. I'd like to keep the crossover frequency high (10 k to start with) and am wondering if I can risk using a first order crossover, considering that this section of my system is powered by a 2A3 SET, so not a lot of power going into the tweeters.

What's your experience, and waht are your suggestions for the best integration with the 1" driver?

In the longer run, the LE85A will be replaced by 2" drivers, so I'd like to keep complxity and cost low if possible, considering I most probably will have to re-do the lot in a few months,

Thanks for the help,

One of the best transitions I have heard between the 2405 and a 1" driver is in the 4344. It is not a simple 6db network however. What horn do you have on the LE-85???

Hi Robh,
I am using a 2345 at the moment. I used to have home made circular horns, which go a little higher, but beams like crazy, the 2345 is more relaxed in giving a more open sweet spot. The 2405 should have a compatible dispersion. I am looking at making a pair of 300 Hz 100 X 40 horns later for coupling to a 2" driver,
Thanks,

18 dB crossover at 12 KHz

Thanks Paragon, I think I'll try that as a safer alternative to a first order one;

This is only for one driver. You have to try and measure for the other one.
In need other parts for the second 2405H to have nearly the same result, because of different room parts or different speaker data.
You have to measure at your listening position.
