As the DX-1es are definitely gone in a trascan and there is little hope to get a used one (congrats Rob!) I'm wondering what substitude there might be.
I know there are thousands of active crossovers out there but is there a similar (analog) one with crossover cards that can be freely modified to achieve driver compensation or modelling response?

You can build your own.

Hello
the Klark Teknik DN800 and the BSS FDS360 are two very good card based analog crossovers. Both are now out of production but can be found used. the BSS seems to be easier to find.

Hi Mike!

Thanks for the info. Is there literature about modifying the cards or does one need to dig thru the schematics and operate with spice?

Hello
Here is the link to the BSS site and to the manual for the
FDS 360. It has the complete card layouts and componets needed for various crossover frequencies and EQ's.
