External 20 wpc amp and VOTT's leave nothing but the radio portion of the original unit.

And who would spend the money on the Wave Bose unit and spend more money to "DE-Bose" them"?

that was my favorite part....

"I use the Wave Radio as an alarm clock connected to an external amplifier ... {it} can produce about 20 watts/ch. This drives the Altec A7-500 Voice of the Theatre system to levels capable of waking the dead with ease.

In this configuration the Wave Radio sounds pretty good. If you don't mind over paying for the thing and you realize and don't mind that it is useless without the addition of an external amplifier and speakers then it's a pretty nice little device to have around...
