Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
Jim, thanks for the PM explaining the situation. I know you didn't have to do that but I'm glad you did.
SeaWolf97, sorry for misinterpreting the post and directing my discontent toward you. Guess I jumped the gun, so to speak Please accept my humble apology.

okay back on topic....john scofield..............who's who with a cast of,well a bunch...........novus series 70
Once I heard a guitarist in the radio. His music tended to blues in a very classical way, I liked it. It was live as far as I remember.
Could it have been your mentioned John Scofield?
(Although in the WWW he is called a jazz musician.)

I've always liked Fogerty and CCR. Back when I was doing the Napster thing, I downloaded an album called "Roskilde '97" . It is John in concert in Europe somewhere...Germany ? Sweeden ? He speaks simple stinted English with the crowd.
...Anybody know ?

scofield is more in the avant garde jazz vein unless he changed in recent years.if you are into blues i can probably recommend some .what kind are you into.i cant think of anyone off hand that plays blues with a classical influence unless you mean "classic blues"if you mean that as traditional there is tons out there, great stuff but the sound quality varies.two of my favorite of the more up tempo albums are hoodoo man blues.......junior wells, and i am the blues ............willie dixon.for a more traditional style try muddy waters......folk singer.its like a bottomless pit and one album always seems
__to lead to a hundred others_________now i gotta go put on some texas blues guitar...........mance lipscombe
Maybe you mean Sapphire Blue, by Larry Carlton ...?
Lush blues based stuff by a session jazzmaster (played with Steely Dan and others)
