    Queen live in Kharkov, Ukraine.

I have recently had the rare opportunity to see Queen live. They played in Kharkov, Ukraine on September the 12th. I was in the right place at the right time for a change. I didn't see any JBL gear there but the sound was pretty good. They played outdoors to a crowd of 350,000! Never in my life have I seen such a spectacle. Freddy even managed to sign a few songs. Anyone that is interested can check out Brian Mays website at, http://www.brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssb.html

Doesn't seem like almost 17 years, though

    Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara; 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991)

Looks like Paul Rodgers is the new Freddie

Paul Rogers did "fill in" for Freddy. He isn't 5% of what Freddy was but he did an ok job. At least he didn't try to be Freddy. The guys did Bijou, Bohemian Rhapsody and one or two others with Freddy on a backing track with audio and video synced to the live music. They played for two and a half hours without a break so we really got our monies worth.

No, thats the OLD 1 disc release - look for the 2007 re-release in Surround. the whole Montreal concert was cleaned up and remastered, PLUS, they added a Second disc with the Live Aid footage - its significantly better than that old thing ...

    See - http://www.queenrockmontreal.com/
    and also
    http://www.digitalstores.co.uk/queen...ormatGroup=ALL

In November 1981, with 'Under Pressure' topping the charts in the UK, Queen arrived in Montreal following dates in Japan and their record-breaking tour of Latin America. Always a great live band, with arguably the greatest frontman of all time in Freddie Mercury, they excelled themselves with the cameras rolling. The picture has been digitally restored from the original film and the sound has been newly mixed and mastered for DTS Surround Sound and PCM Stereo from the original multitrack tapes.

Oh, I guess they haven’t realised yet and might think that old DVD edition is still selling well. I would agree a Dolby 5.1 because I doubt Empire would be screening the old version, so it’s the new version that was screened in specially equipped cinemas with digital projection.

I can play region 0 and I have no issues with NTSC the Toshiba or the DVD player will transcode the signal into colour.

Brain May like me is into astronomy LOL small world isn’t LOL.

Thanks for clarifying that Heather I’ll shall call you “knowledge mom” you’re the girl with knowledge, looks like I need to touch up on my skills.

There is an one DVD version (95 min) of
    QUEEN Rock Montreal
    too. It is labeled

    DIGITALLY RESTORED PICTURE
    NEWLY MIXED
    DTS SURROUND SOUND
    FEATURES BRAND NEW
    COMMENTARY FROM
    BRIAN MAY & ROGER TAYLOR
Consider the film was originally taken in 70 mm.
After the restauration sound and picture are stunning!
