Hi,
Friend of mine would like to replace the original speaker posts of 4344 with WBT. I just wonder any other options.........
Btw, will this replacement create a significant sonic improvement?
thx

Parts Express has hundreds of options but if you want the most expensive the WBT might be what he's looking for! I'd be surprised if you notice a difference in sound but the brain is a funny organ.
I generally use these which cost about $3, look just like what JBL and Crown use on their equipment, and are spaced for dual-banana plugs:
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
I've used the Dayton Audio BPA-38G HD binding posts from Parts Express in the gold finish for a couple pair of vintage JBLs I've restored (L36 Decades and L19As):
and the same thing in the satin nickel finish (BPA-38SN) on a pair of 4301 Control Monitors I am currently restoring:
These are attractive, well made, heavy duty and very affordable (especially when they go on sale).
I'm not sure how thick the terminal mounting board is on the 4344s is, but I had to use a couple washers on the non-threaded portion of these connectors when installing them on my L36 Decades, L19As and 4301Bs. I just took them with me to my local Ace Hardware and picked out what I needed. If you need to know the size of the washers I used, let me know. I just did the L19As last night and will be doing the 4301Bs tonight.
Thanks!
I have no idea exactly of the thickness and that's what I concern as well.
My friend brought WBT already
