Can you see the settings for your 7 series?

    Have tried many differen't options.

    You are right, Great amp
May be one reason is that a lot of people see Eq as a non quality process
they see it as fixing a problem not as part of of the solution
not knowing what has been done can help ease their mind

Another reason may be people trying too now better than the design team and modifying the preset screwing up a well thought product

and last selling Crown amps with the intended speakers

    Hallo!

I agree, when using a setting for a particular speaker coming from JBL(design team) then use it as it is. No point in fidling with some other settings.

I wonder why the limiters is not locked, is is true that for HF it is 100 volts setting in Thermal, RMS and PEAK Threshold voltage. For LF it is 128 volt Peak threshold. Can this be correct?

I haven't checkt how it looks like in 7 series

    Hallo!

Seems to be more correct if I am using the 1200Watts into 8 ohms calculation

NOTE that the attached file isn't really a zip file, I just had to put that extension on it to upload it. Remove the .zip extension and then load it into AA.

There are also some EQs on the inputs, common to LF and HF:

Thank you 4313B for posting the EQ settings for the high-passed LF version!
I will update my google doc with these.

Here is a comparison between the "normal" version in red, and the high-passed one in blue:

What kind of electrical/dsp highpass-slope is it corresponding to? butterworth 18dB/oct?

Why is there a boost 25-50hz in the highpassed one? Is that the purpose of the high-passed settings, to boost bass output a bit?

4313B ...... Thanks, I will try that about .zip extention, not tonight

Is there any particular reason that you chose the DCi 4/300N?

Manual say's Recommended amplifier power: 1200Watts per channel into 8 ohm.

    It is a 12dB/oct.
I don't know why they boosted that range in the high-passed version, maybe some sort of psychoacoustic compensation for what is lost down low, ā la Bose

I picked it to use while I was figuring out how to unlock the settings.

The filter is centered at the tuning frequency of the enclosure and rolls off below that frequency to protect the 2216Nd. I suspect that JBL is simply trying to add a bit of protection to the 2216Nd below Fb in installed applications.

I will admit that I kind of scratched my head at the original file way back when we first looked at it several years ago: Enable 5 = 1 Frequency 5 = 21.5Hz Q 5 = 1.77 Slope 5 = 6 Gain 5 = 4.7dB Type 5 = Parametric EQ
That is exactly why I originally thought the enclosure Fb was 21.5 Hz. "Normal" people usually don't apply any boost below Fb
