I would check them out as well. If the drivers are in good shape I bet they would be quite nice!

I love those! Hope you get them.
So you're in Bradenton, Florida???
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
I've been wishing I was closer to Florida after the first time they popped up on eBay a while ago. Shocked they are still available.
Currently: L300, C40 Harkness (030 Load), 4301B
Pics did not do justice to how bad condition cabs where in, but didn't last long.
Consoled myself my purchasing a set of KLH-32's NIB.
From $120 to $30 and hour drive.
Add the the KLH 17's I just got and we'll have a little herd going here.
Any up to date sealing hacks?? They are really nice, but Xovers are SHOT.
Bradenton 40 years, Coco , and Homestead. Air Force Brat.
PS; BMWCCA and others
To ALL who I have come off as kinda rude and crude, I apologize. Combination, gadfly, old and retired,
Libertarian leaning, Sub Sailor. I Promise I will probably be R&C Again.
For all of you who can't take a joke or sarcasm F/O.
KLH, Advent, and many others back in the day used cheap drivers, boxes slammed together lacking any real craftsmanship, and yet many of them sounded really good! JBL on the other hand had numerous designs with meticulously built drivers in very nice cabinetry and pretty poor sonic performance.
Go figure.

In my opinion C-40 were better buy than this KLH. Not because branding but because shape of drivers are in. This KLHs look like teeth of time ate em. They look like they going to disintegrate any time now. On the other hand drivers in C-40 looked mint. I would go for drivers in good shape, boxes can be fixed or even build new much easier than drivers.
do not surrender never, except when you have to
C-40 sold before I had opportunity. $800+ very bad cabinets.
KLH 17 9+ Free
KLH 32 New In Box $30
The look is natural and ugly pretty like AR's.
Paired with KLH model 27
Turns into nice rig. Mods to follow. Fun be had.
C-38 cabinets are my next stop
$50 and build from there. These are to be my vintage SUBS.
Will A/B KLH's with some small JBL's for the prudes out there and "hear" what happens.
Let the Shit flow
Being schooled in a design discipline makes me appreciate the industrial artistry that is JBL.
The kid-who-always-fixed-stuff in me appreciates the McGyver-esque, Gilligan's Island constructs that are KLH, Dahlquist, and DCM, to name but a few.
Guess which one wins in my mind's ear?

I've worked on Infinities & Bose that had terrible looking, cheap stamped out drivers that sounded OK. Sometimes makes me wonder if classic JBL wasn't overbuilt for purpose ?
Haven't worked on much higher up the chain than JBL, but IMHO, ESS & a/d/s rivaled them in both cabinetry and driver builds.
Some brands seem mismatched ... nice cabs & junkish drivers.
Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
KLH 32's where NIB
Like I said
Ugly Pretty
Well constructed and tight box.
