I am wondering why the Array Series have vertical horns, when all the big
brothers like K2 and Everest have horizontal horns.?
Is there an anvantage on vertical, and then why is the the bigbrothers then vertical.??

The verticle position is because that horn is a diffraction design and has a wider despersion pattern that way,,,its like the earley electro voice t-35 tweeter,,
Lets see some more of that, that grainy photo is a tease!
Just do it anyway.
I wondered about this as well. Correct me if Im wrong, but In Jbls history the only driver that used diffraction in the horizontal plane is the 077/2405. And as far as I know this tweeter is well regarded in these parts. It would be interesting to turn the 2397 90oand try it out. Anyone with experience of that?

I once suggested to the owner of a pair of 4365 to put them on the sides, and try vertical horns. He just laughed
The Smith Horn?? The directivity is all wrong for that look at the polars especially the vertical ones.It would be interesting to turn the 2397 90oand try it out. Anyone with experience of that?

"I could be arguing in my spare time"
I just figured diffraction in the horisontal plane would be intreresting to try out. Not many horns work that way, and suddenly the 1400 array turned up utilizing this feature. The horn designs of course is rather different. Well, It will be fun to try out. I will probably have a couple of 2397 incoming as well
